एक बार की बात है एक बूढ़ी माँ सुअर थी जिसके पास तीन छोटे सुअर थे और उन्हें खिलाने के लिए पर्याप्त भोजन नहीं था। इसलिए जब वे काफी जवान हो गए, तो उन्होंने अपनी किस्मत की तलाश के लिए उन्हें दुनिया में भेज दिया।

पहला छोटा सुअर बहुत आलसी था। वह बिल्कुल भी काम नहीं करना चाहता था और उसने अपने घर को भूसे से बाहर बनाया। दूसरे छोटे सूअर ने थोड़ी मेहनत की लेकिन वह कुछ आलसी भी था और उसने अपना घर लाठी से बनाया। फिर, वे गाते थे और नृत्य करते थे और बाकी दिन साथ-साथ खेलते थे।

तीसरे छोटे सुअर ने पूरे दिन कड़ी मेहनत की और ईंटों से अपना घर बनाया। यह एक अच्छा चिमनी और चिमनी के साथ एक मजबूत घर था। ऐसा लग रहा था कि यह सबसे तेज हवाओं का सामना कर सकता है।

अगले दिन, एक भेड़िया उस गली से गुजरने के लिए हुआ जहाँ तीन छोटे सूअर रहते थे; और उसने पुआल घर को देखा, और उसने सूअर को अंदर सूंघा। उसने सोचा कि सुअर एक बढ़िया भोजन बनाएगा और उसके मुंह में पानी आने लगा।

लेकिन छोटे सुअर ने की-होल के माध्यम से भेड़िये के बड़े पंजे देखे, इसलिए उसने वापस उत्तर दिया "नहीं! नहीं! नहीं! मेरी ठुड्डी ठुड्डी पर बालों से नहीं!"

फिर भेड़िये ने अपने दाँत दिखाए और कहा "तब मैं आवेश करूँगा और मैं कश लूंगा और मैं तुम्हारे घर को उड़ा दूंगा!"

तो उसने अपने फेफड़ों में हवा भरी और तेज फूंक मारकर उसने घर को उड़ा दिया! भेड़िये ने अपने जबड़े बहुत चौड़े और नीचे की ओर खोल दिए, जितना वह कर सकता था, लेकिन पहला छोटा सुअर बचकर भागा और दूसरे सूअर के घर पर छिप गया 

भेड़िये ने लेन को जारी रखा और वह लाठी से बने दूसरे घर से गुजरा, और उसने घर को देखा, और उसने सूअरों को सूँघा, और उसके मुँह में पानी आने लगा, जैसा कि वह बढ़िया रात के खाने के बारे में सोचता था।

तो उसने दरवाजा खटखटाया और कहा "छोटा सुअर! छोटा सुअर! मुझे अंदर आने दो! मुझे अंदर आने दो!"

तो उसने अपने फेफड़ों में हवा भरी और तेज फूंक मारकर उसने घर को उड़ा दिया! भेड़िया लालची था और उसने एक बार में दोनों सूअरों को पकड़ने की कोशिश की, लेकिन इसलिए उसे कोई सूअर नहीं मिला! उसके बड़े जबड़े हवा पर कुछ नहीं टिकते थे और दो छोटे सूअर उतनी ही तेजी से दूर भागते थे जितना कि उनके छोटे खुर उन्हें ले जाते थे।

भेड़िये ने उनका पीछा किया और उन्हें लगभग पकड़ लिया। लेकिन दोनों सूअर ईंटों से बने तीसरे सूअर के घर में भागकर छिप गए!और भेड़िया को पकड़ने से पहले दरवाजा बंद कर दिया। तीन छोटे सूअर, वे बहुत भयभीत थे, उन्हें पता था कि भेड़िया उन्हें खाना चाहता है। और यह बहुत ही सच था। भेड़िया पूरे दिन नहीं खाया था और उसने सूअरों का पीछा करते हुए एक बड़ी भूख को काम किया था, और अब वह उन तीनों को अंदर से सूँघ सकता था और वह जानता था कि तीन छोटे सूअर एक प्यारी सी दावत बन सकते हैं।

तो उसने दरवाजा खटखटाया और कहा "छोटा सुअर! छोटा सुअर! मुझे अंदर आने दो! मुझे अंदर आने दो!"

लेकिन छोटे सुअर ने की-होल के माध्यम से भेड़िये के बड़े पंजे देखे, इसलिए उसने वापस उत्तर दिया "नहीं! नहीं! नहीं! मेरी ठुड्डी ठुड्डी पर बालों से नहीं!"

तो उसने जोर जोर से सांसे भरी और पूरी ताकत से फूंक मारी, लेकिन ईंटों से बना घर हिला तक नहीं। उसने कई बार सांसे भरकर फूंक मारी लेकिन कुछ नहीं हुआ। वह घर को नहीं गिरा सका। अंत में वो इतना थक गया की दोबारा सांस भी नहीं भर सकता था। इसलिए वह आराम करने के लिए रुक गया और थोड़ा सोचने लगा।

लेकिन वो कुछ ज्यादा ही सोच गया था। वो गुस्से से नाच रहा था और अपने बदले और भूख में मरा जा रहा था। इसलिए वो बिना कुछ आगे पीछे सोचे चिमनी से नीचे, उतर कर अंदर घुसने लगा। अंदर तीनों सूअरों ने आग जलाकर एक बड़ा पानी से भरा बर्तन उबलने के लिए चिमनी में रख दिया था। भेड़िया सीधा इस बर्तन के अंदर जाकर गिरा। 


उन तीनो सूअरों ने बर्तन को ढक्कन से ढक दिया और भेड़िया अंदर ही उबल गया। तीनों सूअरों के लिए रात का खाना तैयार हो चुका था। 

Moral of the Story:-

इस कहानी से हमें  दो शिक्षा मिलती हैं! पहली शिक्षा ये है कि एकता में शक्ति है! एकजुट होकर हम कमजोर होकर भी बड़ी से बड़ी ताकत का भी सामना कर सकते हैं!


दूसरी शिक्षा है कि परिश्रम का फल मीठा होता है! हमें हमेशा परिश्रम करना चाहिए!

एक चूहा और मेंढक दोस्त थे। हर सुबह मेंढक अपने तालाब से बाहर निकलता और अपने दोस्त से मिलने जाता, जो एक पेड़ के किनारे एक छेद में रहता था। वह दोपहर को घर लौटता था।

माउस अपने दोस्त की मित्रता से खुश था लेकिन उसे पता नहीं था की दोस्त धीरे-धीरे दुश्मन में बदल रहा था। इसकी वजह ये थी की मेंढक हर दिन माउस के घर का दौरा करता था, लेकिन चूहे ने कभी भी उससे मिलने की कोशिश नहीं की। वह  कभी भी अपनी तरफ से मेंढक के घर नहीं गया था।

एक दिन उसे लगा कि वह काफी अपमानित हो चुका है। जब वो माउस से मिलकर जाने लगा तो उसने जानबूझकर अपने एक पैर को चूहे की पूँछ से बाँध लिया। अब वह फुदक फुदक कर चलता जा रहा था और चूहा बेचारा घिसटता हुआ उसके साथ चल रहा था।

मेंढक ने तालाब में गहरी डुबकी लगाई। माउस ने खुद को मुक्त करने की कोशिश की, लेकिन जल्द ही वह डूब नहीं सका। उसका फूला हुआ शरीर ऊपर तक तैर गया।

एक बाज ने तालाब की सतह पर चूहे को तैरते हुए देखा। उसने झपट्टा मारा, और चूहे को अपने तालों में पकड़कर, पास के एक पेड़ की शाखा में उड़ गया। मेंढक, ज़ाहिर है, पानी से भी बाहर था। उसने खुद को मुक्त करने की पूरी कोशिश की, लेकिन जल्द ही और उसके संघर्षों का अंत नहीं हुआ। वह चूहे के साथ ही बंधा रहा और बाज दोनों को ही ले उड़ा। अपना भोजन बनाने के लिए।

इस कहानी से हमें ये शिक्षा मिलती है कि, अपने दुश्मन के लिए बहुत गहरा गड्ढा मत खोदो, तुम खुद उसमें गिर सकते हो’।

एक बार की बात है! एक जंगल में एक अँधेरी और गहरी गुफा में एक शेर रहता था! उसने एक बार जंगल में घूमते हुए एक स्वस्थ हिरन को देखा! उसके मुँह में लार टपकने लगी! वो काफी भूखा था! उसने हिरन पर झपट्टा मारा और उसे खा गया! 

हिरन को कहते हुए, हिरन की एक छोटी हड्डी, शेर के गले में फँस गयी! शेर ने उस हड्डी को बाहर निकलने की बहुत कोशिशें कीं, लेकिन निकाल नहीं पाया! शेर को बहुत दर्द भी हो रहा था! 

शेर मदद के लिए यहाँ वहां भटकने लगा! रास्ते में उसे पेड़ पर बैठा एक मोर मिला! 

"हे सुन्दर पक्षी मोर! क्या तुम मेरे गले में फँसी हड्डी को निकल सकते हो?" शेर ने विनम्रता से पूछा! 

"नहीं में नहीं निकाल सकता! तुम हड्डी निकलवाने के बहाने मुझे खा जाओगे!" मोर ने कहा!

"देखो में दर्द से तड़प रहा हूँ! मेरी मदद कर दो!" शेर ने दर्द से कराहते हुए कहा!

"नहीं! बिलकुल नहीं! मैं अपनी चोंच से हड्डी निकलने के लिए जैसे ही तुम्हारे मुँह में घुसूँगा, त्यों ही तुम मुझे खा जाओगे!" मोर ने कहा!


शेर ने मोर को मानाने की बहुत कोशिशें कीं, लेकिन मोर नहीं माना! शेर मायूस होकर वहां से चला गया!

आगे चलने पर शेर को एक काला मोटा भालू, पेड़ के नीचे लेता हुआ मिला!

"अरे बलवान भालू जी! मेरे गले में हिरन की एक हड्डी फँस गयी है! ये बहुत दर्द कर रही है! क्या आप इसे बहार निकाल सकते हैं?" शेर ने विनम्रता से पूछा!


"अरे शेर जी, मैं बहुत थका हुआ हूँ! शहद के लिए बहुत ऊंचे पहाड़ पर बने छत्ते तक चढ़कर गया था! मैं अब आराम करना चाहता हूँ! कृपया मुझे परेशान ना करें! आगे किसी और से मदद लें!" भालू ने कहा और सो गया! शेर एक बार फिर मायूस होकर चल पड़ा!

आगे जाकर उसे एक जवान हाथी दिखा! वो ऊंचे पेड़ से आम तोड़ने की कोशिश कर रहा था! पेड़ पर आम काफी ऊंचे लटके हुए थे! हाथी काफी भूखा था और आमों तक उसकी सूंड नहीं पहुँच पा रही थी! 

शेर हाथी के पास पहुंचा और बोला कि "अरे हाथी राजा! क्या में तुम्हारी आम तोड़ने में मदद कर सकता हूँ! लेकिन तुम्हे मेरी भी मदद करनी होगी!" 

"कैसी मदद शेर भैया?" हाथी ने उत्सुकता से पूछा!

"देखो मेरे गले में एक हिरन की हड्डी फँस गयी है! अगर में तुम्हारे लिए आम तोड़ कर लाया, तो तुम्हे इस हड्डी को मेरे गले से निकलना होगा!" शेर ने बताया!

"क्यों नहीं शेर भैया! एक हाथ दे और एक हाथ ले!" हाथी ने खुश होकर कहा

कहकर हाथी ने शेर के गले की हड्डी अपनी सूंड से, झट से खींच कर निकाल दी! शेर का दर्द चला गया और उसने रहत की सांस ली!

फिर क्या था! शेर भी हाथी की मदद करने के लिए पेड़ पर चढ़ गया और दनादन से सारे आम अपने पंजों से, नीचे टपका दिए! हाथी ने सारे लजीज, खुशबूदार आम जल्दी से चट कर दिए! उसके बाद दोनों ने एक दूसरे को धन्यवाद् कहा!


उस दिन के बाद से हाथी और शेर, दोनों एक दूसरे के अच्छे दोस्त बन गए! 

कहानी का नैतिक:-
इस कहानी से हमें ये शिक्षा मिलती है कि, हमेशा दूसरों की मदद करनी चाहिए! ऐसा करने से, आगे किसी भी विपत्ति में, वे आपकी भी मदर करेंगे!

Once upon a time! A lion lived in a dark and deep cave in a forest! He once saw a healthy buck roaming the forest! Saliva started dripping in his mouth! He was very hungry! He swooped on the reindeer and ate it!

Calling the deer, a small bone of the deer got stuck in the lion's neck! The lion tried hard to get that bone out, but could not get it out! The lion was also in a lot of pain!

The lion wandered here and there for help! On the way he found a peacock sitting on the tree!

"Oh, beautiful bird peacock! Can you get the bone stuck in my neck?" The lion asked politely!

"No, I can't remove! You will eat me on the pretext of getting bone!" Peacock said!

"Look! I'm suffering from pain! Help me!" The lion moaned in pain!

"No! Not at all! I will eat you as soon as I roll in your mouth to get the bone out of my beak!" Peacock said!

The lion tried hard to convince the peacock, but the peacock did not believe it! The lion left from despair!

Walking ahead, the lion found a black fat bear carrying it under the tree!

"Hey, strong bear! A buck deer is stuck in my neck! It's hurting a lot! Can you get it out?" The lion asked politely!

"Hey Sher-ji, I'm so tired! I went up to the honeycomb on a very high mountain! I want to rest now! Please don't bother me! Seek help from someone else!" The bear said and fell asleep! The lion once again started walking despondently!

Go ahead and show him a young elephant! He was trying to pluck mangoes from the tall tree! The mangoes were hanging very high on the tree! The elephant was very hungry and its trunk could not reach the mangoes.

The lion approached the elephant and said "Hey elephant king! Can I help you break your mangoes! But you have to help me too!"

"What kind of help, lion brother?" The elephant asked curiously!

"Look, a reindeer has stuck in my neck! If I have brought mangoes for you, then you have to get this bone out of my throat!" Lion told!

"Why not lion brother! Give one hand and take one hand!" Elephant said happily

Saying this, the elephant pulled the lion's neck from its trunk, and quickly pulled it out! The lion's pain was gone and he breathed!

Then what was there! The lion climbed the tree to help the elephant and dripped down all the mangoes with his claws! The elephant quickly licked all the delicious, aromatic mangoes! After that, both of them thanked each other!

Since that day, both elephant and lion became good friends of each other!

This story teaches us that one should always help others! By doing this, in any further calamity, they will also treat you!

एक घने जंगल में चार गाय रहती थीं! वो आपस में बहुत ही अच्छी दोस्त थीं! वो सब हमेशा साथ में ही चारा खाने जाया करती थीं! इसके अलावा वो जहाँ भी जाती थीं, साथ में ही जाती थीं! ऐसी थी उनकी मित्रता! उन चारों की एकता के कारण ही, जंगल का कोई भी मांसाहारी जानवर, उनके आस पास फटकने तक की हिम्मत नहीं कर पाता था! 

काफी  समय से, एक खूंखार शेर की नजर, इन चारों गायों पर थी! वो चाहता था की कैसे भी करके, इन चारों गायों को अपना शिकार बनाया जाए, और इनके नरम मांस को खाया जाए! पर जब भी उस शेर ने उन गायों को अपना शिकार बनाने की कोशिश की, उन चारों ने एकता की शक्ति से, उस नरभक्षी शेर को वहां से भागने पर मजबूर कर दिया! 

कई दिनों बाद, उन चारों गायों में, आपस में ही, एक बड़ा झगड़ा हुआ! चारों ने आपस में बात भी करना बंद कर दिया! और चारों गायें अलग अलग दिशाओं में चली गयीं! शेर ने उन सब को अलग अलग होते हुए, ऊँचे पहाड़ से देख लिया था! उसे मौका मिल गया था अपना शिकार करने का! उसने एक एक करके, सभी गायों पर हमला किया, और उन्हें खा गया! 

दोस्तों! हमें इस कहानी से शिक्षा मिलती है की, एकता में ही शक्ति होती है! एकजुट होकर, कमजोर से कमजोर प्राणी भी, बड़े से बड़े ताकतवर प्राणी का सामना कर उसे हरा सकते हैं! अतः सदैव एकजुट होकर ही रहना चाहिए! 

Four cows lived in a dense forest! She was a very good friend among themselves! She always used to go to eat fodder together! Apart from this, wherever she went, she used to go together! Such was their friendship! Due to the unity of those four, no non-vegetarian animal of the forest could even dare to go near them!

For a long time, the eye of a ferocious lion was on these four cows! He wanted, however, to make these four cows their prey, and eat their soft flesh! But whenever that lion tried to hunt those cows, all four of them, with the power of unity, forced that malevolent lion to flee from there!

Several days later, there was a big fight between the four cows, amongst themselves! The four even stopped talking among themselves! And the four cows went in different directions! The lion had seen them all from different mountains, rising apart! He got a chance to hunt himself! He attacked all the cows, one by one, and devoured them!


Friends! We learn from this story that there is strength in unity! In unison, even the weakest creatures can face the biggest and the strongest! Therefore, we should always remain united!

उसके होंठ बड़े और ठोड़ी पतली थी! वो अपने खाने में मछली, फ्रैगर और फिग्स खाना पसंद करता था! जब वो दौड़ लगता था, वो सबसे तेज दौड़ता था और दौड़ में जीत जाता था! 

वो किचन के सिंक में पानी भरकर नहाना पसंद करता था!  वो गर्म चिप्स खाते हुए अपनी जीभ से अपने होंठों को चाटना पसंद करता था! उसका दोस्त एक गोरिल्ला था, जो की पतला और सेहतमंद था! उन दोनों को ही, पॉरिज और वैनिला खाना पसंद था! 

जब वे क्रिकेट खेलते थे, तो गोरिल्ला हमेशा जीतता था! लेकिन जब बॉक्सिंग लड़ते, तो हमेशा सूअर ही जीतता! सूअर के पास चार मुर्गियां थीं, जो की उसे मजे से नहाते हुए देखती थीं! वो हमेशा उसके साथ मस्ती से नहाना चाहती थीं! लेकिन सूअर अकेला ही नहाता था और मुर्गिया उछल उछल कर उसे देखती थीं! 

लेकिन गोरिल्ला को मुर्गियों की ये हरकत मूर्खता भरी लगती थी! और पिग भी उन्हें मूर्ख कहकर उन्हें मस्ती नहीं करने देता था! तो इसके बदले में पिग और गोरिल्ला उन मुर्गियों को तालाब पर फिशिंग कराने ले जाते थे! मछलियां पकड़ने के बाद वे उन्हें पकाकर कहते और पिकनिक मनाते! उसके बाद वे सब नाचते, गाते, झूमते और उछलते कूदते!

This is the story of a little cute pig! He was born small, but grew up and became very big and healthy! He lived in a house made of tin!

His lips were big and chin thin! He loved to eat fish, fragger, and figures in his food! When he used to run, he ran the fastest and won the race!

When they used to play cricket, the gorillas always won! But when fighting boxing, the pig always wins! The pig had four chickens, which saw him taking a fun bath! She always wanted to have a fun bath with him! But the boar used to take a bath alone and the chickens used to watch it bounce!

But the gorillas found this act of chickens foolish! And Pig didn't even call them fools and let them have fun! So in return, the pig and gorilla used to take those chickens to the lake for fishing! After catching the fishes, they used to cook them and have a picnic! After that they would all dance, sing, swing, and jump!

एक समय की बात है। एक साधारण सा ब्राह्मण एक गांव में रहता था। वो ज्यादा धनवान नहीं था। संपत्ति के नाम पर उसके पास बस एक सोने का घड़ा था। एक दिन उसने तय किया, की अपने पुश्तैनी सोने के घड़े को, बाजार में जाकर, ऊँचे दामों में बेच देगा।

वो घड़े को लेकर कई सारी दुकानों में गया, लेकिन किसी ने भी घड़े को नहीं ख़रीदा, क्योंकि किसी के भी पास इतना पैसा नहीं था की सोने के इतने बड़े घड़े को खरीद सके। अंत में एक ग्वाला मान गया। उसने सोने के घड़े को खरीदने की इच्छा जताई। 

"में इस सोने के घड़े में अपना दूध बेचने जाया करूँगा! मेरे ग्राहक इससे बहुत खुश होंगे! बताओ तुम्हे इस घड़े के कितने पैसे चाहिए?" ग्वाले ने पूछा। 

"मुझे भाव तोल का ज्यादा ज्ञान तो नहीं है! क्योंकि मैं कोई बनिया तो हूँ नहीं! लेकिन कम से कम दस चांदी के सिक्के लूंगा!" ब्राह्मण ने कहा। 

"मेरे पास दस चाँदी के सिक्के तो नहीं हैं! लेकिन मैं तुम्हे इस घड़े के बदले ये प्यारी सी गाय की बछिया दे सकता हूँ! ये बड़ी होकर तंदुरुस्त गाय बनेगी और तुम्हारे बहुत काम आएगी! मैं वैसे भी इसे बारह चंडी के सिक्कों के बदले बेचने वाला था!" ग्वाले ने कहा। 

ब्राह्मण मान गया. उसने बछिया के गले में रस्सी बंधी और उसे लेकर अपने घर चल दिया। 

कुछ दूर जाने पर कुछ व्यापारियों के गुजरते झुण्ड ने ब्राह्मण को बछिया के साथ जाते हुए देखा। उन्होंने सोचा की अगर वो बछिया उन्हें मिल जाए तो वो काफी मालामाल हो सकता हैं।  लेकिन उन्हें शक था की वो ब्राह्मण उन्हें ये बछिया नहीं बेचेगा, इसलिए उन्होंने एक षड़यंत्र रचा। 

उन चार व्यापारियों में से एक व्यापारी ब्राह्मण के पास गया और बोला की तुम एक भले ब्राह्मण लग रहे हो, तो क्यों इस प्यारी सी बछिया को चलाकर ले जा रहे हो?
तुम इसे उठाकर क्यों नहीं ले जाते? व्यापारी की बात सुनकर ब्राह्मण ने बछिया की और देखा, बछिया भी काफी थकी हुई लग रही थी। ब्राह्मण ने व्यापारी की बात मान ली और उसे कन्धों पर उठाकर ले जाने लगा।

थोड़ी दूर जाने पर एक दूसरा व्यापारी आया और बोला की श्रीमान आपने इस गधे को अपनी पीठ पर क्यों उठाया हुआ है? गधा तो मालिक की सेवा करता है, उसका बोझ ढोता है! ब्राह्मण ने व्यापारी की बात मान ली। बछिया को अपने कन्धों से उतारा और अपनी डलिया भी उसकी पीठ पर रख दी और चल पड़ा।


थोड़ी दूर जाने पर तीसरा व्यापारी मिला। उसने कहा की अरे ब्राह्मण, तुम्हारा गधा तो बहुत सुन्दर है! तुम पैदल क्यों चल रहे हो? तुम क्यों उस पर बैठकर नहीं जाते? तो ब्राह्मण ने कहा की ये तो बछिया है, गधा नहीं है! तो व्यापारी ने कहा की ये सभी व्यापारी ऐसे ही उल्लू बनाते हैं! तुम्हे गधा बेचा है! ब्राह्मण ने व्यापारी की बात मान ली और सामान सहित उस पर बैठ गया। बेचारी बछिया मोटे ब्राह्मण का भार नहीं झेल पायी और गिर गयी।

इसी बीच चौथा व्यापारी भाग कर आया और ब्राह्मण से कहा की ये गधा तो बेहद आलसी और कमजोर है! ये तुम्हारा वजन भी नहीं झेल पा रहा है! इस पर ब्राह्मण को गुस्सा आ गया। उसने चप्पल से बछिया को मारते हुए कहा की नालायक! मैंने तेरे लिए अपना कीमती घड़ा बेच दिया! और तू किसी काम का नहीं! पिटाई से डरकर बछिया वहां से भाग गयी। ब्राह्मण गुस्से में बड़बड़ाता अपने रास्ते चला गया।


पेड़ के पीछे छिपे चोरों व्यापारी ये नजारा देख रहे थे। वो वहां से निकलकर आये और बछिया को पकड़ लिया। और अपने साथ ले गए। बड़ी होकर बछिया एक तंदुरुस्त गाय बनी। चारों व्यापारी उसका दूध बेचते और खुद भी पीते। इस तरह चतुर व्यापारियों ने ब्राह्मण को मूर्ख बना दिया था।

Moral of the Story:-
अशिक्षित व्यक्ति मूर्ख और भोला होता है! सब उसको मूर्ख बना सकते हैं! शिक्षित व्यक्ति समझदार होता है और किसी के बहकावे में नहीं आता है! अतः हम सबको पढ़ लिखकर शिक्षित बनना चाहिए!

एक दिन भाग्य और ज्ञान की देवियों के बीच तर्क होता है, अपनी अपनी शक्तियों को लेकर. ज्ञान की देवी कहती है की वो भाग्य की देवी से ज्यादा ताकतवर है और ज्ञान की देवी कहती है की वो भाग्य की देवी से ज्यादा ताकतवर है. 

फिर वो दोनों ये तय करती हैं की वो कुछ ऐसा करेंगी, की साबित हो जाए की कौन ज्यादा ताकतवर है. 

वो एक छोटे से गाँव के एक गरीब किसान के एक छोटे से घर के पास जाती हैं. भाग्य की देवी ने अपनी शक्ति दिखाई और किसान के पुरे गेंहू के खेत को, मोतियों से भर दिया. 

अगले दिन जब किसान अपने खेत में पहुंचा तो गेंहू की जगह, मोतियों को देखकर चौंक गया. उसी दौरान, वहां का राजा भी अपने घोड़े पर सवार होकर वहां से निकल रहा था, उसने भी जब ये मंजर देखा, तो वो भी चौक गया. 

राजा ने किसान से कहा की वो अपनी सारी फसल उसे दे दे. वो उसे खूब सारी दौलत देगा, साथ ही साथ, अपनी बेटी की शादी भी उससे करा देगा। किसान मान गया और राजा को अपनी पूरी फसल दे दी. राजा ने अपनी बेटी की शादी उससे करा दी और उसे खूब सारी संपत्ति दे दी. 

नयी नयी शादी हुई थी. राजा की बेटी किसान के बगल में बैठ गयी. किसान को एकदम से एक कहानी याद आयी, जो की एक चुड़ैल के बारे में थी. चुड़ैल लोगों के बगल में, सुन्दर स्त्री बनकर बैठ जाती थी, और मौका देखकर अपने असली रूप में आकर उन्हें खा जाती थी. किसान घबरा गया, उसे लगा की राजा की बेटी चुड़ैल है. वो वहां से भाग गया और महल से भी भाग गया. बेटी को बेहद बुरा लगा. उसने अपने राजा पिता से शिकायत की तो राजा भी आग बबूला हो गया. उसने अपने सैनिकों से किसान को पकड़ लाने को कहा और बोला की अगले दिन उसे फांसी देंगे. 

राजा के सिपाही उसे पकड़ लाये और अगले दिन उसे फांसी पर लटकाने की तैयारियां होने लगी. ज्ञान की देवी ने ये सब देखा तो उन्होंने भाग्य की देवी को कोसते हुए कहा की देखो तुमने ये क्या कर दिया. भोले भले किसान को फांसी लगने वाली है. ज्ञान की देवी ने कहा की मैं इसे बचने के लिए अब इसके दिमाग में ज्ञान का संचार करती हूँ. 

ज्ञान दिमाग में आ जाने पर किसान ने राजा से पूछा की उसे किस जुर्म में फांसी दी जा रहे है, तो राजा ये उसे बताया की तुम उसकी बेटी को छोड़कर भाग गए थे. चूंकि अब किसान के दिमाग में ज्ञान आ चुका था तो उसने दिमाग लगाकर एक कहानी गाढ़ी. उसने राजा से कहा की उस रात मैंने एक आदमी की चीख सुनी, जो की नदी में डूब रहा था. कहते हैं की जब शादी की पहली रात कोई नदी में डूब रहा हो, और उसे ना बचाया जाए, तो शादी के बाद पति पत्नी की जिंदगी अच्छी नहीं रहती. तो मैं केवल अपनी पत्नी की जिंदगी अच्छी करने के लिए उस आदमी की जान बचाने के लिए महल से भागा. 

किसान की बात सुनकर राजा खुश हो गया और उसे माफ़ कर दिया. अब किसान भी ज्ञान के आने के बाद समझ चुका था की राजा की बेटी कोई चुड़ैल नहीं है. चूंकि उसने अपनी जिंदगी में कोई बेहद खूबसूरत स्त्री नहीं देखी थी तो उसने राजा की बेटी को गलती से चुड़ैल समझ लिया था. अब वो ख़ुशी से राजा की बेटी के साथ रहने लगा. 

ज्ञान की देवी और भाग्य की देवी के बीच हुई प्रतियोगिता में ये साबित हो गया था की ज्ञान भाग्य से ऊपर है. यदि आप ज्ञानी हैं तो आप अपने ज्ञान को भी पलट सकते हैं.
